Our Story

I’d like to thank you for the amazing response received since announcing The Green Apple Tree.

I grew up in a joint family in India and whenever we had family or guests visiting us, my mum would cook her beautiful traditional Indian recipes and our family would provide the best hospitality.

This has always stuck with me, and now I want to instill the same principles in The Green Apple Tree. Serving traditional Indian cuisine with a warm welcome.

The menu will represent food from the streets of India and traditional Indian home cooking – recipes that have been passed down through generations.

Many of my family and friends have worked in the hospitality industry for decades. Some of those people are joining me on this journey due to their passion for Indian cuisine. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new restaurant in the heart of Northallerton and share our passion with you.
